As fruit comes in from the 2024 harvest, the distinct terroirs that shape our wines come into focus for our winemaking team. Terroir encompasses the natural environment where a wine is grown, including soil, climate and topography differences.
Discover how terroir influences wine with our limited Oregon Cares Collection, a six-bottle set representing distinct vineyards across the state (see details below). To support those directly impacted by hurricane damage, 10% of all collection sales will go to Feeding the Carolinas, a food bank program supporting disaster relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Helene.

2022 Vintage 49 Pinot Noir
Dark ruby red in color, with savory and sweet aromas of crushed cinnamon, black peppercorn, balsamic, raspberry, Balaton cherry, ripe plums and cedar. Flavors of baking spices, rose hips, Brazil nut, sarsaparilla, bourbon cherry, fruit leather and fennel warm the palate. Fresh tannins lift the flavors with acidity and a rich, weighted body.
2022 Elton Self-Rooted Pinot Noir
The wine opens with abundant aromas of rose petals, potpourri, fennel, spruce, subtle floral and spice notes, raspberry, black cherry and cola. Delicious flavors of cranberry, marionberry, dried rosemary and spice create a dynamic profile. The palate is fresh, with young tannins, a medium body and a lingering finish.
2022 Vintage 49 Chardonnay
Light gold in color with a bouquet of honeycomb, starfruit, candied lemon peel, blanched almonds and vanilla bean. Flavors of golden apple, honeydew melon, ripe pear and shortbread shine through on the palate. The fresh acidity balances the weight of the wine, tying in the fruity flavors that continue long after the sip.
2023 Estate Chardonnay
Pale gold in color with aromas of chamomile, apple and sweet lemon. The light-bodied palate displays balanced acidity and subtle complexity with flavors of passion fruit, baked pear, subtle brown sugar and sweet barrel notes.
2021 Métis Red Blend
A complex blend of Walla Walla Valley varietals, the wine opens with lively aromatics of blueberry and jam that play with darker notes of kalamata olive and black tea, reflecting the barrel and terroir. The present tannins add a fresh intensity to the plum and boysenberry flavors, and the voluptuous palate pulls notes of cedar and leather, offering a balance of fruit and spice.
2021 Griffin Creek Cabernet Sauvignon
Allspice, Ceylon cinnamon and cedar emerge on a highly perfumed nose and lead to an elegant palate filled with dark fruit flavors of red currant, ripe blackberries, figs and roasted hazelnuts. Bright, balanced and full-bodied, the tannins are fine-grained and integrated, creating a smooth and graceful sip.
