We hope the following statement will help the user or viewer of this website (you) understand how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information you provide to us on our site.

I. What kind of information do we collect from you when you visit our site?

Willamette Valley Vineyards and its subsidiary brands collect information from you in two ways. First, we collect information automatically as you use the website through the use of third-party platforms. Second, we collect information from you that has been voluntarily given through methods such as submitted forms, online reservations and online purchases. 

When you visit www.wvv.com, our stats package from Google collects some basic information about your browser. Examples include but are not limited to:

  • IP Address
  • Referral path
  • Type of browser being utilized 
  • Operating system are you using
  • Site visit duration and access times
  • Pages visited 

This helps us understand how visitors browse our site, so that we can make our overall shopping experience better. We use cookies from third-party partners such as Google and Facebook for measurement services, targeting ads and for marketing purposes.

We utilize qualitative analytic tools in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. These technology services that help us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our services with user feedback. To do this, we utilize uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device's IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website.

Data Tracking Technology:

Technology known as “Cookies” and “Web Beacons” may/are being used by us or a third-party vendor on our behalf. Cookies are used to automatically collect information from you throughout your experience on our website.These cookies are small bits of data that are saved in your browser and save/recognize your browsing habits. We utilize short-term (session) and long-term (persistent) Cookies. Web Beacons are online page elements used to recognize various types of information including pages clicked, time and date and similar data.

Additionally, as stated above, we collect personal information about you when you when specialty forms are completed or during the check out process of our store such as, but not limited to:

This information is necessary to accurately process payments and ship merchandise to you. Your information is encrypted and securely stored. We take every precaution to ensure that your data is safeguarded to the best of our ability and the ability of the software vendors that we use that may process your data. You may request to see the information we have on file for you by sending a request to info@wvv.com. Please note that we will need to validate your identity first to ensure you are authorized to receive this data. You may also request to remove your records from our system by emailing info@wvv.com.

II. Sharing of personal information

Willamette Valley Vineyards will under no circumstances engage in the act of selling or sharing any personal/private information that we collect with any third parties or web sites. All the information collected is completely private and used solely for improved site experience, marketing efforts, order processing and shipping. If you give us permission to send you marketing emails or SMS marketing then we use your email/mobile phone number for that purpose, but never does that email or phone number get sold or distributed to any other web site or list.

III. Newsletter Opt-Out

If you have chosen to opt into our e-newsletter, promotional emails or promotional sms marketing and decide to opt out, you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link provided at the bottom of the marketing email. For SMS, you simply need to reply “STOP” to the most recent SMS message (standard message and data rates apply. Please see your specific carrier for more information) or you may send your request to info@wvv.com. Also, under the member area, you will find a simple form to unsubscribe.

IV. Consumer inquiries and privacy.

If you have any questions about your privacy, or want to make changes to your profile, or get off our marketing list, simply send us an email.

V. Protecting your information.

All the payment information we collect is done so under SSL — a standard internet security measure. Any data that we store about you is kept behind a secure firewall in our database and is not accessible to the public in any way.

VI. Privacy Notice for California Residents

    This Privacy notice intended to California residents supplements information located in Willamette Valley Vineyards, Inc. Privacy Policy located above and applies to visitors, users and others who reside in the state of California of the United States of America (California Consumers, Customers). This notice is intended to keep compliance with the 2018 California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and terms or phrases used or defined in the CCPA have the same meaning and intention in this policy. 

    California Consumers have the right to request that we disclose certain information about our collection, disclosure and use of a customer’s California personal information obtained over the course of the past 12 months. To the extent available, when a verifiable request is made by a California consumer and identity and legitimacy has been confirmed by Willamette Valley Vineyards we will work to disclose:

  • Categories of California residents personal Information collected about the specific consumer
  • Sources used to collect information regarding the California resident in question
  • The business purpose for the collected data in question
  • Categories of the third-parties used in the collection of data
  • The specific pieces of California personal information collected
  • If information has been disclosed for any business related purpose, we will provide said disclosure and categories of information collected  

California Consumer Rights Involving Deletion:

    As a California consumer you are given the right to request the deletion of the customer personal information that has been collected and retained by WVV.com, subject to certain exceptions. WVV.com must confirm identity prior to any information being deleted. Once a consumer's identity has been verified, as requested, the consumer's information will be removed from our records, bearing an applicable exception. 

To exercise your right as a consumer to access and/or delete personal information, a California Consumer may submit a verifiable request to us by emailing us at: info@wvv.com. California Consumers, or an authorized agent on behalf of the consumer, may only make a verifiable request for access twice within a 12-month time period. This verifiable request must provide sufficient information to allow us to clearly identify the consumer requesting information as well as the information requested. Should additional information be needed to verify information a representative from www.wvv.com will reach out to you within a timely manner. 

Response Time:

    We strive to respond to verifiable requests within a reasonable and timely manner. However, special circumstances may arise. Should your verifiable request be time sensitive, please include this information in your request email sent to info@wvv.com. If we require more than a reasonable amount of time, we will inform you of the reason in writing. No fee will be issued to the request unless the verifiable request is deemed as excessive, repetitive or unfounded by Willamette Valley Vineyards leadership. Should this scenario arise, the consumer will be notified and, if deemed appropriate by the leadership of Willamette Valley Vineyards, provide an estimate of the costs associated with the request before completing any work related to the consumer request.

Non-Discrimination:

    Please note, we will in no way discriminate against a customer for exercising any of the rights granted to them through the CCPA. 

VII. Website Use by Children:

    This website is intended for use by users over the age of 21. Users seeking to purchase Alcoholic products from our website must be 21 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect any contact information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we determine that an individual has submitted personal contact information without verifiable parental consent, we will work to immediately remove said information from our files.
