Blackened Ahi Tuna & Asian Soba Salad

2 - 8oz tuna loins

2 oz soy

1/2 oz garlic, chopped

Salt & pepper to taste

2 oz rice wine vinegar

2 tbsp blackening spice

1 oz honey

1/2 oz ginger, chopped

4 tbsp olive oil

1/2 oz Dijon mustard

1 tsp sesame oil

16 oz soba noodles, cooked


This salad has all of your favorite sweet, spicy, and fresh flavors wrapped into one delicious recipe. The crisp greens tossed with our favorite Asian salad dressing, topped with a spicy blackened ahi tuna is a heavenly appetizer for any meal. We suggest pairing it with our 2011 Griffin Creek Viognier. 


For tuna, season with salt and pepper, then generously coat with blackening spice. Over medium high heat sear tuna in olive oil for approximately 1-2 minutes on both sides. Set aside to cool. For salad, mix in remaining ingredients except soba noodles in blender. Toss dressing in noodles and serve under the seared tuna.
